Offset lithography is the most common large volume
printing technology. In offset printing, the image to
be printed is burned onto a plate and then is transferred
(or offset) from the plate to a printing blanket, and
then to the substrate being printed. The lithographic
printing process is based on the fact that oil and water
do not mix. The image to be printed receives ink from
ink rollers. The area not to be printed attracts a film
of water so it will not print.
Some of the advantages of Offset Printing include:
IMAGE QUALITY
The high image quality of offset printing works well
on a wide range of surfaces including paper, card stock,
plastic and more.
DIRECT-TO-PLATE TECHNOLOGY
Our offset presses use direct-to-plate systems as opposed
to the older file-to-film work flows, further increasing
quality.
QUANTITY COST-EFFECTIVENESS
Offset printing is the best solution for high volume
printing. The cost per unit goes down as the quantity
increases.
